Introducing…Ivy!

On Thursday, Matt and I loaded up the kids and Bane and went to meet the new addition to our family. Everybody got along great and I am pleased to say we have expanded our family by one.

Introducing Ivy!

She is a 6 month old German Shepard Malamute, and we are picking her up in a couple of hours.

She was rescued from a high kill facility when she was around three months old. Her chances weren’t very high, as she was an owner surrender. Sometimes, people get dogs without realizing the responsibility involved and when it’s more work than they thought, they surrender the dog and that is a big mark against them in the eyes of pounds. Thankfully,  the rescue brought her to a caring foster family and then to us, to be her loving forever home.

So, welcome to the family, Ivy!

  1. What a cutie! I’m wondering how big she’s going to be. Like, are we talking Direwolf here? 😉

Congratulations on your new family member! She looks like she’s going to fit in great.

Wonderful! Beautiful dog, whose story is sad with a very happy new chapter thanks to your family. I’m so glad to hear you are expanding your family so conscientiously. People buying purebred dogs is unfathomable to me. I hope you all settle in together pleasantly and peacefully!

  3. You two are so awesome!! One day, I will have to take a vacation up that way so we can all hang out. 🙂

And if I am lucky, we can do the same for another puppy–eventually.
