Sweet Summer Picnics

We were going to have a “bum around the house day” today, since we’ve had a rather busy last two days. Tomorrow is supposed to be a rainy, blah day so I decided we would do our lazy day tomorrow, and besides…a picnic in the park sounded absolutely delicious!

So I packed up some sandwiches and snacks, loaded up the wagon with our things and Nolan, and we headed out!

We found a very nice, shaded park just a five minute walk from our house…and the best part? It was empty! Ours for the taken!Β

It was very relaxing, just sitting in the shade and watching Nolan run around playing in the grass. He had such fun chasing the dandy lion seeds and trying to blow bubbles, and throwing the ball in the air. I had such fun watching him! It was nice not to worry about him getting into something gross, or not having grass to play on (our backyard = gross, and our front yard has no grass…bummer 😦 sniff). I think Nolan and I will frequently visit this little shaded oasis this summer!
